Amina launches NXT-based In-Wall loudspeakers in US

24 Aug 2006

NXT is pleased to announce the US debut of Amina Technology Ltd’s In-Wall loudspeakers, based on NXT SurfaceSound technology. Combining high definition audio reproduction and design conscious needs, Amina In-Wall loudspeakers will be introduced for the first time in the United States at the 2006 Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association Expo starting 13 September in Denver, Colorado.

Amina In-Wall loudspeakers exploit NXT SurfaceSound technology to provide unmatched clarity of sound reproduction suitable for all types of venues, from corporate board rooms to home theatres. SurfaceSound delivers a dispersive sound field for high quality audio performances regardless of speaker location and listening position.

This 80w loudspeaker generates an impressive 105dB after installation.

After installation, the loudspeakers become a completely invisible sound source, avoiding the usual clutter of electronic equipment. NXT SurfaceSound technology enables grille-less speakers that can be concealed in the walls of the room and plastered over to achieve zero visual interference to room aesthetics.

Applications of Amina In-Wall loudspeakers include the Houses of Parliament and the Natural History Museum in London, Gaudi’s CASA House and the Gran Hotel la Florida in Barcelona, Spain, and the Stock Market Centre and the IBM Headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden.

Amina In-Wall loudspeakers are specifically designed to fit within 400mm centred wood or metal stud-work commonly used today in walls and ceilings, but special sizes can be made to order. Amina can also provide installation advice. Pricing and further information is available from www.amina.co.uk.
