20 Sep 2006

TEAC continues to strengthen its brand differentiation with NXT technology in its latest CD/stereo tuner system, the stylish CD-X9. This represents a continued commitment to strong audio innovation, with this latest model being the seventh since 2003 to employ NXT’s flat panel loudspeakers. NXT SurfaceSound technology enables the CD-X9 to deliver an outstanding audio performance without compromising style.

Elegantly streamlined in matt silver, the CD-X9 incorporates two NXT SurfaceSound-based flat panel satellite speakers. The speakers deliver unparalleled, room-filling sound without requiring additional space while the subwoofer complements with rich bass. The 3.5 inch main unit features a vertical CD drive unit with a motorised loading door, which supports CD-MP3/CD-R/RW playback. This ultra-slim audio system is an ideal complement to any modern home, whether displayed on a desktop or mounted on a wall.

In addition, the unit also encompasses a multi-function LCD display with backlight, an AM/FM stereo tuner with 20 preset-station memory, a digital clock with sleep and timer functions, an external FM antenna connector and a headphone jack. A full-function remote completes the ensemble, giving listeners easy control of the system.

The CD-X9 with NXT SurfaceSound technology is available from authorised TEAC retailers across the UK and is priced around £180.
